No? Because, that's exactly what some are saying. If Crier leaves they are following immediately. That's a breach.

After the season, you tell the Club to pound sand they they have no recourse to get you to stay.

I assume that at this point in the season STA has had everyone pay in full. If they haven’t, you are correct and they are still on the hook for the money.

What are they going to do for the Spring?
Dynamite is not starting until the Fall anyway.

Yes, it's laughable....but reading through the posts there is a faction who firmly believe that other than to wipe someone's azz, the contract means nothing.
Contracts are a two way street. If either party feels they are not getting what the agreed too, then they can feel that the contract has been violated.

Players come and go mid season all the time for all kinds of reasons. It is not unusual at all. The days of having a steady roster for more then a season disappeared in the chaos of the age change and the launch of the gda. It is the wild west out here.

No loyalty. Why should players be loyal when coaches & clubs are not. Age change screwed up a lot of teams and angered a lot of people. It destroyed teams. No wonder parents threw up their hands and decided to do what’s best for their own kid.

And age change helped our kids how again?

            Right, it didn’t...

And the guy who came up with the brilliant idea? Gone from US soccer.

Never waste an opportunity to drift away and rant about US Soccer....

If you want to get out of the contract, you have to do more than "feel were not getting what they agreed to". And, what in the contract do you feel isn't being delivered?

As for people coming and going. That is true. If you have paid up, and aren't going to league or opportunity where there is a conflict with your player card, really can't be stopped.

Screws the team and other players, but nobody can stop you.

Look - you may sign a contract" for piano lessons but there are a dozen reasons you could be be legitimately dissatisfied with your purcahse and a dozen reason the teacher could say I can no longer provide these lessons to you. Then you go find another piano teacher .

Who is harmed here? what are the damages? this is an activity for kids. Just try to find an acceptable place to play soccer if you are the player, or rustle up some players if you are the club and get on with it.

If you agree to pay that piano teacher based on them providing X amount of services which are clearly written in the contract, and you decide you no longer go to that piano teacher and stop paying them in accordance to the contract, they have the right to enforce it.

                        con·tract
                        noun
                        /ˈkäntrakt/
a written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy, that is intended to be enforceable by law.

Now, if you view this as someone just giving you soccer lessons, possibly you are in the wrong league?

Oh brother. Go ahead and sue a soccer family that wants to move on and find a new situation if you have nothing better to do with your time and energy. Exercise in futility.

If they've paid up and are going to a different league, have at it.

If not, honestly, teaching your kid responsibilities and adhering to an agreement is a good lesson to have since they will need to do that dozens of times in life.

In your typical selfish view, you don't care about loss of revenue or affects on a team and the ex-teammates. Good example of the "me" generation...what's in it for ME?

Here is a crazy idea. Provide the quality product that you charge through the nose for and the players wont leave. Suing soccer families is for desperate con artists.

Please point me to your contract which stipulates a quality product and the fee that is charged through the nose?
