No takers or BU would have jumped on a deal with a club with a turf field and some talent.

Playing the MLS clubs, especially for the younger teams non DA teams is a positive experience. Always something to prove. The level of the DA is very good. I really think they need to expand U12 to U14 in FL, the quality of the league is second to none. The expansion of more DA teams in the younger age groups would reduce travel costs and expose players to better quality of play. I don’t believe it would water down the quality if the focus is truly development. To make that happen greater oversight from DA league directors would be needed. The current DA clubs with the addition of Miami FC (MLS) would be the pathway for the U12 to U14 players. The talent level in FL for boy’s soccer is good. Nationally competitive. Girls soccer DA not so much.
Not all the non MLS U18/19 club have issues, a good number of clubs have their players motivated for college soccer. The non MLS DA clubs set different goals and many of these DA teams achieve those goals with placing all their players at quality college soccer programs. Boca United needs to sort it out as they seem to have trouble with the older team each year.
