So, is THIS the endgame all the parents are shooting for when they brag about their kids playing D1?

    They can have it!

"The word is out..." Please name your sources. And there is NO money for any owner to spend for players in a womens soccer league.

Funny how all across the globe money is flowing into the women's game and yet in Boston the fools that run the local franchise can't seem to find any of it. Simple minds result in simple products which in this case are bottom dwellers that are dreadful to watch. No wonder they can't make any money.

Rich people can spend their dough however they want. If you want to invest in an upstart pro league, like NWSL, you have to willing to lose money if you believe in the long term viability. If you cannot afford to lose money, you should find another endeavor, otherwise you tread water and produce a poor product, like we see here. In other words, this is a long play.

There are plenty of bad owners in professional sports. The ones that own the Breakers qualify as bad owners. They don't have enough money to invest in their product in order to produce a respectable team and they clearly have no vision for how they might turn it into something more valuable. Strictly bottom feeders.

True rich people can invest their money however they please but the difference with a pro sports franchise is they become sort of community assets and unlike investing in some stock there is some expectation that they are shepherding the franchise in a way that benefits the community. When they don't the community doesn't support it which is apparently what is happening here.

Yet, the league allows its best young national team star to play in Boston and colleges flood Boston reserve, college and U20 team with their top players. Nice try troll.

Laughs on you troll because that NT player will go overseas during the offseason and make a $100-200k playing in one of the foreign leagues. What's your 22-23 year old making?

And there are +/- 20 of them.

Where are you going with this? She is an allocated NT player. There are a handful, all making decent bank for kicking a ball around. That doesn't change the hundreds of unallocated NWSL pros who are making $15k/yr if lucky. And no, Europe isn't offering much money or opportunity to female players in the US who aren't allocated. You think your D has a shot at the NT? Good luck. I'll take the other sode of that bet and laugh all the way to the bank...

Wow, so that is the ceiling all these little girls are chasing? Meanwhile you have the boys aspiring to play in the NBA or MLB and make millions and millions. What a country.
