All the talent? Most other teams have had one or more world class goal scorers on the field for a majority of games, the Breakers have not. Their 16 goals in 20 matches reflect that.

Whose fault is that? From your own website: "The Boston Breakers had an historic day at the 2017 National Women’s Soccer League College Draft, landing four of the first nine picks, including the No. 1 overall selection, midfielder Rose Lavelle."

She's been missing, but most people agree that with that many top picks, they should be performing better and a lot of us are questioning the coaching staff.

What is your point? They had four of the top picks. If they had real coaches, and the coaches thought that was what was needed, they could have gotten it. I am with the original poster. Their picks had success before. Something is wrong.

Not really tied to Breakers but I didn't want to start a new thread. K Mewis barely got her bag unpacked in the trade to Chicago and now she has been traded to Houston. Thoughts?

It's almost like she's a good/not great player...and no one really wants her. Interesting.

Poor showing against Orlando. The management better make a coaching change soon. How many years can we be in the bottom two?

They've been a bottom of the table dweller virtually every year in all of their incarnations. WUSA - 2001 & 2002 6th of 8, 2003 1st regular season, lost in Penalties in first ever playoff game. WPS - 2009 5th of 7, 2010 2nd of 7 (started with 8 before St. Louis folded) lost 2nd ever playoff game, 2011 4th of 6, made playoffs with 5-9-4 record, lost 3rd ever playoff game. NWSL - 2013 5th of 8, 2014 8th of 9, 2015 9th of 9, 2016 10th of 10, 2017 sitting 9th of 10. Have never made NWSL playoffs. Between the 3 leagues their all time regular season record is 70-111-51 plus 3 playoff defeats. This is par for the course.

They can't make money. The seats are never filled. They should do what the do in football and sell them to another market where they'll have a good fan base and the owners are interested in hiring decent coaches. We have plenty of college games in the Northeast.

Doubt this will happen. Owners seem ok losing money and games!

Correction. Owners seem more interested in fornicating with the women than building a serious sports franchise. The word is out amongst not only the league but also at the college level that the Breakers are a place to avoid. Things will never improve until there is new ownership who has deeper pockets and an understanding how to run a pro sports franchise.

It's been amateur hour there from the get go. They've had a lot of star players come and go and have never capitalized on any of them.

They got very lucky to have the scorpions partnership implode and then bamboozle NEFC into partnering. They never would have gotten Dap on their own or if they were still affiliated with Fred. That program was destined to go to NEFC. At this point that is the only thing going for them and frankly the long term viability of that program is suspect since youth leagues and directions seem to change every 5 years or so. While there is a lot of money in the youth leagues that can only carry them for so long.

Tenth out of ten with two games to play. NEFC is a well run club. Can't it do anything?

nefc doesn't run the breakers. They pay the breakers for the sponsorship. Nefc would have gotten gdap with or without breakers. Seems as though all they got was 1 year of the ECNL.
