Not really tied to Breakers but I didn't want to start a new thread. K Mewis barely got her bag unpacked in the trade to Chicago and now she has been traded to Houston. Thoughts?

Poor showing against Orlando. The management better make a coaching change soon. How many years can we be in the bottom two?

WPS - 2009 5th of 7, 2010 2nd of 7 (started with 8 before St. Louis folded) lost 2nd ever playoff game, 2011 4th of 6, made playoffs with 5-9-4 record, lost 3rd ever playoff game. NWSL - 2013 5th of 8, 2014 8th of 9, 2015 9th of 9, 2016 10th of 10, 2017 sitting 9th of 10. Have never made NWSL playoffs. Between the 3 leagues their all time regular season record is 70-111-51 plus 3 playoff defeats. This is par for the course.

We have plenty of college games in the Northeast.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostCorrection. Owners seem more interested in fornicating with the women than building a serious sports franchise. The word is out amongst not only the league but also at the college level that the Breakers are a place to avoid. Things will never improve until there is new ownership who has deeper pockets and an understanding how to run a pro sports franchise.
They got very lucky to have the scorpions partnership implode and then bamboozle NEFC into partnering. They never would have gotten Dap on their own or if they were still affiliated with Fred. That program was destined to go to NEFC. At this point that is the only thing going for them and frankly the long term viability of that program is suspect since youth leagues and directions seem to change every 5 years or so. While there is a lot of money in the youth leagues that can only carry them for so long.
