The funniest part of this is that the GDA parents don't even want their kids to play high school. The level of play is terrible and the risk of injury is high. However, the kids want to play to have fun with their classmates. And some coward like you wants to report them to someone. You're not going to get far except being laughed at.

The News is researching the story. Why are DA players taking the place of other high school students on school rosters but not showing up for practices or games until January after their club season is done?

Our kid made the high school team but because she is DA and her academy needs her to play games and make the team win at the DA showcase in December, she may not participate with her high school team until after the December holidays. Our high school coach is helping her by just saying she is "not cleared yet to practice" because she has not turned in all of her paperwork. The hs athletic director and principal do not have a handle that this is going on. The adjunct soccer coach will play dumb that he didn't know this was ethically wrong.

Hey dumbass, the participant only needs to participate in one regular season game to be eligible.

First, we are not friends. Doubt we would ever be based on your consistent whining about this. Yes, I did not read the post all the way because at the end of the day it will not matter.

Again the intent is for DA players who choose to play high school to do it for the entire high school season from tryouts till they get knocked out of the playoffs or championship. In doing so the DA academy does not allow them to participate in DA related things until the high school season is over.
So now tweak a couple things with the high school coach and make sure he schedules at least 10 regular season games after the DA showcase and lets the player play in them. out of the 20 games and then things are sweet and by the book

10 games prior to State Championship Series: Does that Series start with regionals and not districts?

                          DA Winter Showcase: Boys' (U-16/17, U-18/19) November 30-Dec 4 ; Girls' (U-15, U-16/17, U-18/19) December 6-10
Premier Sports Campus; 5895 Post Blvd, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34211

DA Girls are free from their season commitment beginning on December 11. Then when those DA girls are cleared to play high school soccer they would need to play 10 games by the time the District playoffs begin in mid January.

10 games seems like a lot, how many games do they have each year? preseason would not count and would thanksgiving games count?

Many high school teams play 20 games before the district playoffs begin in January. It would not be unrealistic for ten games to occur between December 11 and January 20. High school coaches who were in communication with the DA directors were aware of ways to circumvent the system so the DA players could do both their showcase and help their high school win a Florida state championship. Shame on them including the parents.
