60 Boys / 60 Girls got the opportunity to compete against high level the competition and a few kids from Ma probably had no travel expenses. Based on US Club Soccer post there was decent collection of coaches and scouts from US Soccer represented. Yes DA is now present and overtime will take over but when is DA holding this type of event ? They are getting every DA team together for a tournament in the spring and that is what several thousand kids. Good opportunity to be noticed vs 60.

Not all college players will come from DA. There simply aren't enough players vs the #spots. There will continue to be avenues to college soccer outside that system. ECNL, ID2 identification etc. Not everyone can play top D1 soccer. Even many of those in the DA system won't end up in top programs

Just stop with this endless nonsense. This over bearing youth sports landscape has been around long enough for all to see how i works. You have top and lower level players and teams in all these leagues.

This is just how it works. Players ultimately choose their team and club and they choose this one or that one for a variety of reasons. There will never be consensus as each player has a unigue set of circumstances..

Yet plenty whose parents insist wherever their kids are is "the BEST." The best is whatever is best for your child and it won't always be the "best" club or league. If more parents could embrace that concept and stick by it we wouldn't have the mess that we have today. CLubs and leagues take advantage of parental foolishness

Realty folks...having been down this road before.

If you want to go to a great private high school you can not play DA. There are many players who could have played DA, but choose school and playing in, for instance, the ISL over DA.

Many of those players land up in the IVYs.
