Any mention of the boys Stars teams or is this just the ladies? BOYS u17 and u18 are both very completive with many talented players that are all conference and All State Players along with various top prep school players. There are also excellent coaches at all levels.

They don't do official tryouts until June, but if you want to join a team they will generally have spots available for good players. Contact the coach of the age group your kid is in, or the DOC, and arrange to attend a few practices. You and your player can decide whether you like the team, the coach, and the logistics, and the team can determine whether there's a decent fit. Up until U14 or so, adding a new player in mid-year is not uncommon.

My son actually has cleat marks on his knee from a game he played against Stars LAST september. Aside from being one of most dirty teams I've seen, with obnoxious loud coach, they were pretty decent team. Their end record did not reflect talent on that squad.

To me it starts and ends with coach. They need to look at what they are teaching their kids (conduct on field) and then the rest will come. They do have good players.

That one starts and ends at home. The Stars attract those types in droves. Go watch their girls teams in action. It will make what you saw look tame. That is who they are and that is why they have so many enemies.

Silly rabbit. The enemies come from 3 things: winning, exclusivity, and arrogance. They've won a lot over the years (especially at the younger ages), and have rub plenty of noses in it along the way. Their top teams are tough to make, and they play in an elitist league that is garnering lots of attention and is not open to new teams from this area. They have the same institutional arrogance that almost ALL organizations have that have experienced sustained success.

BTW - I love the "...attract those types..." comment. The Stars girls teams are more often than not smaller than the opposition, and need to use speed and possession to succeed against bigger, more physical teams. Compared to what I've seen from GPS, Rush, NEFC, CFC and others in this area, Stars teams are wimps.

The Stars are who they are. Let's not pretend that as a group they are well liked shall we. There are plenty of reasons for that. Jealousy is just as viable a reason as is being a bunch of arrogant DB's.

Love it how NEFC scams a bunch of parents to follow a beloved coach, gets a legit top team and another good team out of the deal and all of sudden they are the best club in the history of club soccer in the state.

Wrong. Love it how a bunch of beloved parents followed a scam coach to Nefc and saw his true color and used what Nefc provided (coaching and other players) to become a legit top team. Love it how stars tried to scam a bunch of parents by hiring the DB coach thinking the beloved parents would follow him. Result: Nefc with the best team in the country, stars with one of the worst scum bag in Mass soccer history.

Is this all you could put together? why parents didn't follow him to stars? Why he is not coaching top teams at stars? Scam got scammed.
