Simpson Signs Professional Deal With the Boston Breakers

Through his hard work and dedication to the women's game under the Aztec banner, Dushawne Simpson has proven to the Breakers that he has the ability to coach women at the highest level. He has recently been offered and accepted the Assistant Coach position with the Boston Breakers for the 2015 season, under second year coach Tom Durkin.

"Coaching women is his true passion, and now he gets to do it at the highest level of women's soccer in the country. This is extremely exciting for Dushawne," says Aztec President Mike Kersker.

With the Breakers also having a youth club as part of their program, Dushawne's new role creates a conflict of interest with his coaching at Aztec. We know this was not an easy decision for him, but we support his decision in the end.

The entire Aztec organization wishes Dushawne success with his new professional opportunity.

It's BS and anyone who knows Aztecs and Doc knows it. He decided to step down from Aztecs first, without another gig lined up..maybe he is now leaving as their U13 coach because of the conflict but he was already out the door as anything more than that before landing with Breakers.

Aztecs and spin. What a shock.

The question for me is, as someone eluded to earlier, will he take over the U13 ECNL coaching job at Breakers next year?

The person who knew this seems to think so. They seem to be in the know ahead of everyone else. Good for DS. Good guy and a good coach.

Will be interested if this move does what similar moves did on the south shore, made all of the clubs irrelevant.
              Aztec are horrible. Nobody cares!

They were ready to celebrate his Breakers job until he announced he wasn't returning and then the spin cycle started. It wasn't a conflict of interest if he returned. Doc stayed classy until the end but the new Aztec wasn't for him.

Big loss for Aztecs. Very well liked within the club and outside of it as well. Good hire for Breakers Academy.

From what I've heard he is still a free agent but Breakers are the front runners. Who ever gets him just landed a guy that parents, players and coaches respect. Can't say that about the new DOC at Aztec.

Wonder what is going to happen with the WPSL franchise. My understanding is that is something that he owned personally which would mean the Aztecs no longer control it.

It will collapse because he was the WPSL program. Players will look to play for the Breakers now.
