The way to fix 2014 and 2015 is with internationals. They still conform to the old timelines so there is plenty of time. The issue with internationals is they tend to be 1 and dones but that may be just the ticket needed to right the ship and set up for a normal recruiting class in 2016. The biggest questions are is PC fully funded and does this new coach have the international ties needed to pull it off.

      Hopefully LR is reading this.

What do you mean by that? I can guarantee you that the UNH AD will not consider any D3 coach without D1 experience. That is a fact.

Well, since you're speaking with such certainty you obviously have very close ties to the program - given your extensive knowledge who IS on the UNH short-list?

Lopes hiring is very interesting. I can't argue that PC and the Big East isn't a step up from UNH, but to leave a school for a moderately improved, but basically lateral, position - after only one year - is pretty bad form. For UNH it is a very hard blow. Lopes came on board late in the game for the 2013 class (hired in Feb.) and although they have nominally elevated their recruiting coordinator to a co-head coaching title, the fact is that UNH is now going on about 18 months of confusion and disorganization. Even for a program that was in a good spot back after the 2012 season, that would be a very difficult set of circumstances, and UNH was not in a "good spot" back in 2012! They may actually be better off suspending the "national search" and let the two guys in place as temporary co-coaches give it a shot for '014! Honestly, since the last national search netted them Lopes - keeping the status quo couldn't be worse...

PC is going to be a tough spot for Lopes to find lasting success. UNH was, at least, figuratively competitive with their conference rivals. PC isn't against the top half of the Big East. The BE, does offer some international opportunities, but the very best from Europe are setting their sights on the ACC, SEC and Big10. What gets left is usually no better than the mid-table options available on the domestic front - and that is dangerous when you have to use a full scholie to lure partial schollie talent. Likely you'll see little improvement out of PC in the first two years of Lopes tenure and even after that, the best the Friars can frealistically hope for is a trip to the BE playoffs - nothing more!!!
