Yes Mr. T. Overuses that word quite a bit for very small items. For example, he says he is huge but he is very, very small.
Trumpisms have become part of the vernacular as well as insults and it has carried over to kids soccer. Shame, shame.

It does get tiresome but ignore all the noise and try to have a good spring season everyone!

The OP was referring to the Penn Fusion Showcase going on this weekend, not necessarily a Penn Fusion coach.

Was not referring to a Penn Fusion coach. Very much a NY coach that she was talking to

So for all of you people talking about comparing ECNL and GDA teams, continental ECNL 05’s just outplayed, and beat NYSC’ 05’s. Just a FYI, NYSC is one of the strongest teams in NE GDA and Continental is one of the weakest teams in ECNL. Just saying people that the stronger teams are in the ECNL. Let the hate start now...

no one is talking about that anymore. both leagues are similar. both have problems. both have strong. both have weak. move on to something more interesting

Truth be told. NYFSC is strong in a weak division. Was last year as well. Even in ECNL (as WC) they were good not great. So I would not base anything on this. An older Continental team beat one of the spirit teams last year at the same showcase and then was beaten up by FC VA. So, it's just that the balance of the scales have not balanced out yet.

There are good ECNL teams and good GDA teams. This is what makes it hard for the parents and the players. Where do you go?

What is concerning is the exodus taking place from GDA. Many kids and several big national championship caliber clubs (teams won ENCL championships in the past) left GDA to go back to ECNL (Hawks, PDA, Slammers). Then, some YNTs left other teams as well to go back to ECNL. So, I have seen some very watered down ECNL games and very watered down GDA games. There is no pyramid right now. They both have settlement cracks.

Agreed. Just wish we knew where to go? I'm sick of buying new uniforms. That is an expensive no one talks about. Club fees, training fees and then the new uniforms all the time because of the different switches for names, leagues and more. This is why organized sports at high level are rich man's game.

Didn't the ECNL teams need to do this? Do they have choices? Someone was talking about GDA and ECNL teams competing against each other this weekend.

They get to choose...World Class FC chose all East Coast ECNL Events . No need to travel across the country when the majority of their players will stay on the east coast. The event the OP was talking about was the Penn Fusion Showcase where GDA and ECNL teams played this weekend

Not a mandatory event so not all clubs or teams went. ECNL has more events so teams can pick and choose. Some are east coast, others west.

The ECNL has 6 showcases throughout the season. They don’t attend them all. Depending on the age group, the ENCL teams are only required to attend from 1-3 of the 3 showcases. The ENCL teams at Penn Fusion this weekend chose showcases other then Texas.

So to the coach that was ear hawking the convo at the Showcase, what is US Soccer saying? Stay the course with GDA? If all the good kids are moving to ECNL, including their YNT's how is that any reassurance? This really is very stressful.

This is what I am referencing? What was said? How were they saying it? Was it a club or college coach talking with the US Scout?
