Huh? A list of year-to-year semi-pro or amateur teams is meaningless. What has he done in terms of player development? What colleges or pro teams has his players moved on to, and home many youth and senior nationals has he produced? Team Boca is a mess.

TEAM BOCA is a business that is all.
They keep kids around who's parents have money
They have very few outsiders on their teams meaning not from Boca
If your kid is on an A team from u-9 they usually stay on A teams even when they switch to bigger fields and they can not keep up with team.
They rather put a new kid on a B team then put an A kid that is struggling down to a B team.
The team parent runs the show and everyone knows this
The good kids leave some come back most do not
Mike is arrogant man with a short mans complex who never achieved anything in soccer.
The coaching staff is local men that played for Team Boca years ago nothing special
          Team Boca plays kick ball
ok club for young kids anything over u12 leave

None of those schools listed needed the help of a club coach. All of those listed schools are happy just to see a person enrolling with a background in the sport of a soccer. Come back when Duke, UVA, St. John’s or UCONN are on the list, or heck, even state schools like FIU, UCF or USF would be fine since they a large number of in state players. Laughable!

I agree. SABR, and the young youth teams, are good for kids, fun. But beyond that, Team Boca are just another community club, which is fine, but don't come on here and say you are something more. Mediocrity is the goal and it seems the people of Boca Raton are fine with it.

The most interesting aspect of the various individuals at Team Boca isn’t that they aren’t high level coaches, it’s that they think they are high level coaches. There is an odd arrogance. These are recreation level coaches, and Team Boca is nothing more than an extension of SABR rec program. There isn’t a huge difference between the two programs, with the exception of the travel. MR was a good-ole-boy hire at the club, and didn’t make the club better, it made the club worse.

Perhaps the goal of Team Boca is to be a nice town level club, and there is nothing wrong with that, however to hear some of the leadership speak at the club, they act as if it’s something more. It isn't anything more....but they don't know what more is, and have little understand of what it could be.

The coaching and leadership at Team Boca is substandard. Shockingly, that is the reason people are driving all the way to Weston, or subjecting themselves to the madness at Boca United (SFFA)! To leave Team Boca for SFFA is shocking, but that has been the alternative for years now. It isn't hard to be a better option than SFFA, and right now, Team Boca are still a second or third choice for high-level play.

Team Boca and Boca United should have merged and brought in new people to run the club. Makes no sense to have two clubs that struggle when you could have one club with enough numbers to sustain the programs offered.
