This was the fault of the FMU AD and coach for not catching this before the season started. Something like this is not a Title IX issue. The number of men's and women's teams do not need to be equal.

There was ZERO recruiting done and she ran the program into the ground. Then they hire Marino who has even less experience, and isn't at the level to clean up the mess. I don't know what kind of funding they offer, but if FMU have soccer money, it isn't that difficult to field a team that can stay within 3 to 5 goals each match. If you look back to when they had a roster, they had mostly close matches, and that was without a real coaching staff. I think it was nonsense for Lynn to put 18 on them. They started the game with 10 players, a field player in goal and a woman that seemed to be hurt....or something.

You know who will really hate their 3-2-1 record? The guy who hates the new coach. If the team finishes .500 or around that, chances are he will keep his job.

The bottom line is the current coach has failed everywhere he has been. That includes his previous stops at both the college and club levels. You just don't beat a team 18-0, especially when you are playing against 10 players and the goalie is a midfielder on the team. That is classless, no matter how you try and defend him.
