Mr Nick has a bad attitude when players leave his club yet this lack of organization keeps happening every year. Tighten up your club, make it more competitive and players will remain….

Its really a shame where this club has gone in the last 3 years. Hopefully now with the merger they can weed out all the so so talent, (kids doing 2 or 3 different sports) and concentrate only in the game of soccer. One thing is for certain the more touches the kid gets the better he will become.

Too many rec teams, especially at the younger ages. By the time you get to the 3rd or 4th U9 team, you are really not competitive.

I'd question your club if you sign up for this baloney. Unless you are a rec level club of course.

Disagree, if they improve on their rain management, it is a decent way to kick off the season. For the first tournament, you don't necessarily need to play the most competitive tournament out there. If your team has new faces, you don't want to start the year with a super competitive tournament. You need to integrate new kids and see how they play together. MC is perfect for that. Rain management MUST get better.

Coaches, Managers and Team Contacts, registration for Mega Cup was extended until yesterday night.Registration is now closed and we have begun working on the schedules. Please be patient until the schedules are complete. The actual schedule is easy to create, it's the the request from all the coaches having multiple teams. We hope to have the schedule out by tonight , if not then tomorrow before noon. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to a great weekend of soccer.

Until then, why don't you post participating teams by age group and gender? Takes 5 minutes. Folks don't necessarily care who they play when; they jut want to see who is playing period.

disagree that this tourney sucks. It has been good in the past.

however the way they handled the rain last year really pissed off a lot of people.

I can definitely see a lot of broward teams not wanting to make the trip down if it means a 4 hr rain delay, and not having rained out games rescheduled. granted, it is a tough time of year to hold a tournament and it does tend to rain a lot, but you need to provide teams with 3 games, otherwise it is not worth the expense. you need to make up a rained out game, not count it as a tie. if it means starting at 7 or playing at night, then so be it. why pay the high registration for a 50/50 chance that you only play 2 games or a game and a half. For that, schedule a couple of friendlies and save the parents some money.

well said...totaly agree. My kid did it last year and we only played one full game, which we won. The other two were never made up. One we were given a tie, and the other to penalties. We are not doing it this year.

Good for you, I doubt you would have won the other two. Yes this is not
a good tournament for rec teams. Best you stay at home.
