Interesting concept from their website description - local clubs run rec & younger comp and BSA runs the older comp programs. With Tsunami and Rockledge merging they should be close in size to Spacecoast. It will be interesting to see what they do at tryouts. An alternative to Spacecoast has been needed for a long time in Brevard County.

I like the idea of combining kids from Melbourne, Palm Bay, Rockledge, Spacecoast and CBS to form a premier level team to compete in top leagues such as FSPL or R3PL and top tourneys such as disney, dallas cup or surf cup. For girls they could even try for ECNL. But then also let these top kids "guest play" for their home clubs in BYSL so these clubs can continue to develop other players who may not be competitive enough for those other leagues. It will allow for more clubs to have teams in multiple age groups for local play while still ensuring the most competitive kids get to face top challengers occasionally. There is only enough elite players in all of brevard to form 1 state cup level team that is truly competitive, realistically when was the last time one of these teams won state cup or a top level tourney?

nice idea, but too many little chiefs who want control. the big kahuna is at Melbourne United and he does things to benefit his club...this will never work.

For second best.

Say what you will about space coast, but they do not have field space to be a big club in the county.
