So what should you look for in a coach?

I have a variation.

I ask my parents to drop the kids off on time for practice and games. if they stay ,to encourage not coach. and pick up on time. I am available after games or practice but wont get into why Johnny gets 5 minutes more game time than Nick.

I hold regular parents meetings to keep them informed on relevant things. if they enquire how Johnny is doing and what he needs to work on , I talk to them.

if they ask why, I explain...if they try to tell me I put them right.

Fortunately this year I have an excellent group...................so far

That is fair.
Just to clarify: Is Johny your girlfriends son or your Boss's son?
