At this level, the teams put out more energy and the difference of playing the first or second game in a day is big, especially when the teams are all talented. these girlls expend a ton of energy and it does make a difference for any team playing their second game vs. one playing their first. These games should have been scheduled out where the afternoon teams were both playing their 2nd game. It is pretty easy to figure out.

You seriously don't see the issue?? These players are definitely playing with less energy in any second game versus a team playing fresh at this level. It doesn't matter what team. The right thing to do is have fresh teams playing in the morning and have teams playing each other in the afternoon that are on their second games. You say play soccer, but know damn well there is an advantage for any fresh team.

It's a showcase. There is no advancing and most of the U17 girls have committed to colleges already.

Your the Clearwater Charger parent that obviously started this thread. Worried about your second game on Saturday? Just play the game. It is a showcase, so all the players should play regardless, but we will all be waiting for the excuses on Monday.

We all know that TBU (Simms) sets the schedule for this showcase. We all know from history that TBU stakes the deck in its favor. We all know from history that Simms will put other teams from around the Tampa Bay area in brackets/groups that they don't belong just to beat those teams down and say look how good TBU is against your crappy club.

Probably the right thing for everyone involved. There are 3 teams in that bracket ranked in the top 10 in the state! Although, not sure the replacement team, Clearwater Chargers, will fare much better than Celtic would have. At least CC plays NPL so they're used to that level of play.
