Then does ODP need to change to the times. There are top players in ODP including ECNL players. Only 18 kids can play on a ECNL team in a few market areas. Should ODP ban ECNL players and form its own travel team or college ID events?

ODP has a purpose and a place however I don't feel it does much good until you get to the National Level. Even then college coaches will say to a player I need you to play ECNL so they can see how the player does against the strongest competition. It just depends on what college your kid wants to attend.

The talent level at ODP is much better from the state level up, than ECNL.
BUT, the exposure to college coaches seems to be more prevalent at ECNL.

Can speak to boys side, but on girls side, probably 50% of ODP players are ECNL players. It's not either-or it's both. And yes, most of the non-ECNL girls can hang with the ECNL girls. Matter of fact, it is hard to pick out which is which when mixed together at ODP.

How are the teams for the ODP Nat'l Championships determined? I see the Florida '99 girls are playing there later this month. Are those teams selected from games at Region camp last summer?

Some of the ECNL players have a hard time hanging. Only know who they are because they show up with the ECNL patch on their jackets.
