    Club release

Does anyone know the procedure for getting released from a club to play for another club? How long will it usually take and does it affect her state cup status?

Pay you blood money (entire season fee) wait for current club to drag their feet about 2 weeks and that's it.

Thanks. I heard if she is released by her current club then she is ineligible for state cup with her new club. Is this true?

As long as you get it done by Dec 1st. They have to release her if you pay but do it soon. If it's after Dec 1 then you are stuck.

Correct and she can play State Cup.

Can the club outright refuse to release you?

If you pay they HAVE TO release you as long as it's done by Dec 1. If they refuse contact FYSA and they will help.

Yes, they can refuse. We went through it last year.

They CAN NOT refuse if you are paid in full and do it by Dec 1st. If you took them at their word then you are an idiot.

The coach of our team is also the DOC. This is becoming more and more complicated. Members of the board are not returning our calls.

Don't hesitate to contact FYSA. That's what we did to get results. I know that sounds like an oxymoron (FYSA results) but once the club knew we had contacted them things got done.

Pay all the registration fees and the release is guaranteed. After Dec 1, there is a fee the club has to pay to release a player. I think it's $200. You can be added to a team and eligible for State Cup up to the roster freeze date in March.

Sounds like you're at Space Coast. Just call FYSA and let them know what you are trying to accomplish. You'll be amazed at how quickly DOC and board members will suddenly be very helpful to you.

If you have moved more than 100 miles away or: you have paid the total financial obligation for the full seasonal year; you have satisfied all other contractual obligations (i.e.,volunteer time); you are not going to a club for which you guest played during this seasonal year; you are not going to a team whose coach or other staff member is your ODP coach; and it receives your release request before December 1st, a club cannot refuse to release you.

He is saying that because the club is in the NPL a release doesn't matter for us to go to FYSA/FSPL team. Is this true?
