Most top D1 coaches are focused on U15 and U16.

Do coaches or scouts talk to the girls or their parents there?

What can people expect from Phoenix, Greensboro, Sanford, Houston or San Diego?
Watch Shrek at Sanford. He will be at every U16 game handing out pamphlets where he has put a highlighter to his daughter's profile. He will then volunteer to drive them around from game to game in the golf cart while endlessly yammers on and on about her stats. If you are nice to him, he might even let you ride with him over to the coaches hotel to buy rounds of drinks and promote his kids games the next day.

Why do they go to the u17 ECNL games if the players are already committed? Strut those feathers more.
It has nothing to do with strutting feathers but everything to do with being smart. Players change a lot over these years and things just happen. Here are a few examples of why there are so many coaches at ECNL U17 events.

If a player did commit at 15 or 16 then a coach wants to keep an eye on her as she matures. They will come to watch her play as often as they can. The ECNL National Events are a great way for that to happen. Other coaches may come because a previously committed player is having second thoughts and decided to test the waters again. If the player sees her school she committed to going downhill and the team is a mess, then she may start looking for a plan B (Check out UCLA right now!). Another example would be if her committed school has 6 forwards committed (like Becky recruits at UF!) along with her in the same year, she is probably having second thoughts. If a player commits early to a smaller conference school and all of a sudden larger programs are looking at her, then she is probably going to have them watch her games.

There are more examples, but what both sides are doing is being smart. Fortunately, by playing in the ECNL, the options are plentiful for both coaches and players to find the right combinations for their needs.

He is crazy but her stats are good this year. Leading goal scorer by far? What are the forwards doing on this team? Course she probably is leading in shots taken by far also. Many off target, but shoot enough and will score eventually.

That makes more sense as always seemed to have wild shot. Still what are the forwards doing on this team. Better thank the refs for those generous goal chances

Nice to see you are still hanging out on the "big girl's thread" USYS Dad! Stick around and you might learn something! Then again, you are only "USYS Dad" where such information goes right over your tiny head! LOL!

Because the top three goal scorers left the team because of all the drama. So Shrek gets his wish. Talent leaves which puts the back line in position to control the game. Sad that AH would allow a group of parents to dictate how the team is run. They still have to play WFF and JFC. We will see how it works against teams with a winning record. They have imploded against Top Hat and struggled against Concorde already this year.

I take nothing away from his kid. She is legit. Just wish he would STFU and enjoy the game like the rest of us. Why do these parents always try and make it about them? The guy is a real hemorrhoid.

Our defense will show her what it's really like to play in the big leagues.

Big Turkey domesticated in ECNL do not forget your young wild beginnings in USYS. Only wild turkeys fly and do not need artificial insemination to produce.
