Originally posted by Unregistered View PostStill no matter how you spin it the Jax/Orl camps were a rip off. I can tell most parents and kids/teens thought there was going to be multiple staff and coaches from Tottenham, this was not the case. Plus the training was geared toward less skilled and run by the club coaches. You will not find many returing to this next time around. If you put your name on it "Tottenham" you better provide what people are expecting and paid for.

The person spinning should show a picture of the actual camp and coaches working at the players camp. But totally agree that how the first Tottenham spring ID and summer camps go will set the precedent for the future camps and attendance. Some soccer clubs like Armada in the past did no camps and provided no extra summer camps for the players and that was a fine philosophy too. Players and parents can choose to do the FESA camps or not. Outside of the club players can sign up too. There are other camps besides the Tottenham camp offered. If the Tottenham camp is great, their kids learn and have fun, and they get their money's worth then they will want to do the camp Tottenham camp again. Working parents like to keep their children active in different camps throughout the summer, and FESA soccer camps are geared to different levels, not only the A teams. The ECNL girls players who qualified for the ECNL showcase are training with their teams and not doing the Tottenham summer camps.

The FESA racket is getting really old and the smart parents are realizing it and the not-so-smart will eventually. For kids that live at FESA most of the year, is a couple of months break without paying for their over-priced product too much to ask???

Pumping koolaid and BS and overcharging families. 1 freaking Tottenham coach and you pimp this as a "Tottenham" camp. Then try to make excuses that all of those FESA coaches standing around are going to somehow quickly be at speed "the Tottenham way" whatever the freak that is?? The fidiot families who bother to pay probably are worried they will lose favor with coaches and their spot on the C team.
