WFF & Clearwater could do it themselves & have just DA. No need for IMG at all.
Even with all three there is still not enough talent all three to have to competitive DA & ECNL teams, at least the girls side.
Chargers are on fumes on the girls side.
WFF has just barely enough players to field one team for GDA.
IMG can't even field a GDA team in all age groups.

All these are valid points. BUT. Maybe that is why they need each other. All 3 of these clubs have serious problems on the girls side. In order to keep the DA designation changes must be made right away. So that makes sense.

But the Boys? Maybe they want to compete with Clearwater and have a full Boys DA?

But they have a Roma patch on the kit. That is helping the girls side big time!

IMG is not merging with anyone. They have DA, they have facilities. All they need are feeder clubs.

My money is on TBU on the girls side. They have focused on that and made it very successful. In addition, they are turning their attention to the Boys side. It should be making waves in a few years.

I believe that is the point OP was making. To survive the TBU takeover, a merger or something like that must be done!

Anyone with knowledge can tell what happened there. We moved to SFL in 2012 and that girls program was best in the area and just as strong as your TBU is today. How did it collapse?

Leadership not giving the attention it needs and also certain coaches leaving their. Back in 2012 there were good coaches at the club but since then those coaches have quit or have moved on to other clubs, like TBU...
