Well this all pisses me off. This DA crap is BS. My child turned down DA because she wanted to play HS. Hell had I known we could have said yes, and then just spit on the rules and played both.

SUSC is willing to bend to get the program going since there's really no penalty.
Other players can complain, and I don't blame them, for the special rules...but this is hardly the first time a club has different rules for different players.
last, I thought this was a MA thread? Did the SUSC-whiners infiltrate here, too

Life's not fair. People should be making any decision on what is best for them, not equal to others.

To answer the guy I quoted, if you cannot see the difference between what I laid out above and how many fries you get at McDonald’s, then you are an idiot. Otherwise you are just a douche and probably one of the parents involved in the cheating.

And yes, we are very happy with our decision so far. My kid is playing HS and enjoying quite a bit, and will return to the NPL team in Nov. But by turning down DA, there is naturally some second guessing, that we are making our path for college recruiting a bit tougher. As much as it sucks, and how stupid it is, college coaches are apt to be more wooed by the DA/ECNL letters, thanby NPL. So yeah, it kind a chaps my hide that there are others who are getting the opportunity to do both ILLEGALLY and the club is complicit.

Bottom-line is people cheat. People take whatever advantage they can. Clubs are doing it today, and I can virtually guarantee your club has not treated everyone the same. It sucks, but it's also reality.
We are not cheating, and I could care less those that have actually. "You wanna' dance? You gotta' pay the fiddlah'!" as my college roommate would say. Has no affect on us.

ECNL/GDA/NPL/HS alone will make no difference.

If thats not important to you relative to other things, then deal with it .

What the schools do is another story.
Other than the fact they will say HS is a waste of time, they couldn't care less otherwise.
