Players and parents talk. If your daughter was one of the last kids to be offered a spot, you can expect to be one of the last ones coming off the bench for playing time. Instead, go tryout somewhere your kid will make an impact.

Not always true, especially at certain ages. My daughter was the last to get an offer a few years ago. By spring she was a starter playing full game. Be open to working hard and trying new positions. Look at the last player taken status as an opportunity to improve against stronger players all fall.
