    Why Does Region D exist?

It is a shame that most teams in Region D get a Bye into the the Round of 32 bc only 1 team signed up for State Cup. They should be placed in Region C or Region B and make them qualify like the rest of the teams that didn't get seeded. It is a joke.

I agree. They need to come up with a better plan.

What an absolutely rude statement. Do you think that Region D team loves the fact they have to travel more than other teams any given weekend to get decent competition? Troll. Give them a break.

agreed. Region D offers nothing in terms of competition or close travel.

they should have to play and make it out of a competitive bracket, just like other Regions. If they want to play SC, they should have to qualify like all other teams. There is nothing fair about it. If the want to play SC, then they can join another region of teams and play there. That would be most fair for all teams.

The quality of play and location make Region D as a whole a much better option for the state of Alabama.

So agree. Other better teams will be knocked out while D teams are resting to be in the next round.

Does the World Cup only qualify teams from one continent? It's the STATE Cup. If you want to only have teams from one region play the REGION Cup.

No one wants to see it, or have it happen, but statistically speaking- each game played by any given team puts the players at risk for injuries and card violations.

the statistics will not apply to Region D since they will not be playing any games, and achieve a, "False Bye, " into the next round.

                      This system is beyond comprehension!

Region D has some great talent, they just don't have a high population density. They also have to cover great distances just to compete, unlike our higher density portions of the state. Do you guys in B and C want to have to accommodate regions teams span the entire panhandle and have to work that into the SC location and site selection? That is probably unreasonable. They should probably break up the regions some more and possibly allocate a little more real estate to region D. Perhaps 6 regions total.

Agreed, but certainly the few teams from region D benefit this year in state cup.

How would you break the 6 regions down?
