At WFF U14 they have
ECNL
NPL
FSPL
CDL
all are arguably better leagues with better competition and tournaments. if your kid makes the 2nd or even the 3rd team then they are playing on a better team then you probably are playing on now in a better league. Yes its not the top team but at least the kids will fall where they fall an quite possibly have some kids in all of those leagues based off their abilities.

Depending on the age group (e.g. WFF U14G or U15G) you are better off on a first team somewhere else (e.g. TBU, Chargers, etc.) than on the 2nd team of those age groups at WFF.

These mergers are usually because the clubs are after something. Not about merging teams. Giving kids from the smaller club a shot at a better league.
Wasn't there talks about a sportsplex up there? What if GTBFC/WFF goes to the county and says they will have ECNL showcase there and a tournament or two as long as they get access to the field like LWR charges down south. Newly merged clubs get fields and a shorter meeting point for West campus and East campus teams to meet up for NPL. I don't know if that is anything, but don't be suprise if you hear something like that in the near future. The sports complex or some other fields somewhere or something totally different than that, but leads to a big gain for both those clubs.

The one thing I heard was that before the early NPL/ECNL tryouts, GTBFC players will be invited to go the the pratice of the current NPL ECNL teams. When if announced, don't know or when. Can't hurt to get the early look.
Also, NPL does have some west campus teams. If GTBFC has a team that is better than the other two campus, they will have the NPL team. May not happen the first year, but will after.

You can't "merge" one and not the other. Park use licenses are given to the non-profit clubs that run the clubs so in your scenario, are you trying to say that the county is letting the rec non-profit use the fields for rec and a comp non-profit from another county also use the fields for comp??

GTBFC was a good club. WFF poison will destroy.
They will discover the truth about WFF soon enough.
