    CDL

all are arguably better leagues with better competition and tournaments. if your kid makes the 2nd or even the 3rd team then they are playing on a better team then you probably are playing on now in a better league. Yes its not the top team but at least the kids will fall where they fall an quite possibly have some kids in all of those leagues based off their abilities.
WFF also has teams in USA league. Access to FSPL? ANY team can earn the right to play FSPL by finishing top 16 in prior years state cup. ECNL is tops for girls, WFF has that covered. NPL is so-so, depending on age group / sex. CDL has been downgraded to a fancier version of USA league. Too bad WFF can't get the DA program for boy's side. Anyway, any player can try out for any team at any club they want. Whether the kid makes said team is another story. That's where the level of the B or C teams come in. Hopefully, these clubs will form A teams that are conbined teams. That's when you start to see teams that can qualify for the R3PL and SRPL. For example, this year's u16 boys, WFF team is NPL and FSPL, and GTB team is FSPL and R3PL. Join these togethr and you could have something special!

In your example, you failed to mention that the U14G FSPL team is a combination of NPL and ECNL players, so effectively only two teams (with "dual rostered" players) to cover three leagues; and since there’s no enough players for a third team, the U13G team play up in the U14 age group in CDL. Depending on the age group (e.g. WFF U14G or U15G) you are better off on a first team somewhere else (e.g. TBU, Chargers, etc.) than on the 2nd team of those age groups at WFF.

But imagine if there were good enough players at that level to fill those spots like from GTBFC? That would mean less higher level players playing down as they won't be needed and those teams would be more used to pull players up. Players are already being pulled up but I'm guessing less would play down.

Chargers are DEAD last in FSPL. The players would not be better off playing at chargers. TBU U15 first team plays FSPL and won 2-0 without any ECNL players there. The team is not nearly as bad as you think

These mergers are usually because the clubs are after something. Not about merging teams. Giving kids from the smaller club a shot at a better league.

Wasn't there talks about a sportsplex up there? What if GTBFC/WFF goes to the county and says they will have ECNL showcase there and a tournament or two as long as they get access to the field like LWR charges down south. Newly merged clubs get fields and a shorter meeting point for West campus and East campus teams to meet up for NPL. I don't know if that is anything, but don't be suprise if you hear something like that in the near future. The sports complex or some other fields somewhere or something totally different than that, but leads to a big gain for both those clubs.

This merger of it goes through will spell big trouble for TBU. They are already struggling over there and this could make things worse next year.

The one thing I heard was that before the early NPL/ECNL tryouts, GTBFC players will be invited to go the the pratice of the current NPL ECNL teams. When if announced, don't know or when. Can't hurt to get the early look.

Also, NPL does have some west campus teams. If GTBFC has a team that is better than the other two campus, they will have the NPL team. May not happen the first year, but will after.

just so you know. Any girl can get a look at ECNL. Just contact the director and go to some training. However, it can't hurt to be in WFF. I know there are many girls from West campus that don't play ECNL because of different reasons that have played in and been invited to play with some ECNL teams for some games/events

You heard right. It's clearly posted on thier site regarding open trainings. If you think you are at the level contact them.

You can't "merge" one and not the other. Park use licenses are given to the non-profit clubs that run the clubs so in your scenario, are you trying to say that the county is letting the rec non-profit use the fields for rec and a comp non-profit from another county also use the fields for comp??
Politicians and bureaucrats are changing all the time. This isn't even an issue any longer.

Has nothing to do with one politician... County ordinance... Hasn't changed and won't

GTBFC was a good club. WFF poison will destroy.
They will discover the truth about WFF soon enough.

The merge is only to strengthen #'s for ECNL. Good for GTBFC either way.

The move is only to strengthen their rec programs.
That's all that WFF really cares about.

For ECNL? In what way? They don't need a merger to strengthen ECNL #'s. They already have the numbers for that. You are very mistaken.
