This tournament states they had 400 teams last year...Is this a quality event? We are thinking about traveling down.

Miami Lakes Good and Bad

The bad news - last year field conditions were terrible, the referees are biased towards S. Florida teams, the coaches/parents think each match is a Texas death match.

This is posted on the Tournament webpage
Last year's event grew to close to 400 teams. With the tournament growing to this size we have decided to hold 2 weekends for this event. By doing this we can provide better quality control with ....better fields...easier scheduling...and an overall better experience for ALL PLAYERS, COACHES AND PARENTS!!!

We Had ours in a week. Be thankful you received them... We had a tournament we were told we would get awards and nothing was sent.

The final day at Miami Lakes got rained out. Champions were never named.
If you go to the Miami Lakes Shootout website, you will see results posted for 2010, but not 2011.
They usually have pretty good teams though.
