Players not affected
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI read over the years of a number of coaches from FYSA clubs that got arrested for sex with kids etc. so this seems to be more of killing American youth soccer by limiting opportunities to play to keep as much money as possible in clubs like Florida Elite, Weston, etc.

[QUOTE=Unregistered;2747103]No one said anything about players....Coaches need an FYSA pass to attend sanctioned tournaments.. BOD meeting yesterday. How does that affect kids playing? That's right...it doesn't.[/QUOTE
Team and coaches must have passes from the same sanctioning body whenever they play - whether tournament or league games.
If FYSA chooses to not permit tournaments that they sanction to use US Club passes (they already do this for their USYSA championship series - State Cup, Regional Cup and Commissioners Cup), tournament organizers can just as easily get US Club to sanction their event. Not only is it easier, it also takes money out of FYSA's pocket (tournament fee). Note that these are already on the FYSA web site - Florida Regional (Restricted) Tournaments:
FYSA Fees (made payable to FYSA):
• $50.00 – If submitted more than 30 days prior to tournament
• $1,000.00 – If submitted less than 30 days prior to tournament
• $2,500.00 – Bond for new tournament for club or if club has not previously hosted a tournament
If a tournament wants to have a tournament for out of state clubs, they need to do a National (Unrestricted) Tournament:
FYSA Fees (made payable to FYSA):
• $150.00 – If submitted more than 30 days prior to tournament
• $1,000.00 – If submitted less than 30 days prior to tournament
• $2,500.00 – Bond for new tournament for club or if club has not previously hosted a tournament

Follow the law
