DPL will be a strong league, and the closest comparison is NPL. . Your assessment of SSS second team(honors) is correct, but can they use their Academy team to play in this league? The answer is Yes- The secodn SSS team will play in the second teir and will not do well. Aztecs and Bayside 07 & 08 are some good teams, have seen them both in tournaments and they can compete well with anyone. Aztec Mass and NH could beat any team in Mass
    Lol poor take bayside parent.

This is a substandard league for substandard players.
    Real talk.

So you’re saying that SSS will play their academy teams in both the GA and the DPL? How does that work, exactly?

That’s the Select way. Play your top teams in both A & B leagues. Play your B team in C league, your C team in D league. Gives the illusion the club is better than it really is.

This will be a competitive league on par or slightly better than ECRL with less travel and less $$. The only benefit for playing ECRL is that you may have an edge to an ECNL spot. A lot of money to throw on the table for that chance.

Seacoast United Maine - enjoy that ride to Maine to play teams that were in the NEP championship

Seacoast United NH - 07 and 06 fall season had both second teams finish in second to last in NPL A division. Seacoast NH depth is horrible, they can’t field good DA/GA teams either

Spirit of Liverpool/Best FC - charity case if I’ve ever seen one. These two clubs combined don’t have two good teams at 11v11

Aztec - what a fall from grace...not too long Aztec was managing/coaching the Boston Breakers u23 and reserve teams and now they are competing against SPOLBEST??? Lol

NEFC North Shore - Aztec 2.0. There is not enough talent on the NS for two clubs at an elite platform...which is why these clubs are in the DPL...

GPS Mass - Playing home games at MCI Walpole.

Liverpool - enjoy that drive up to Maine. What a match that’ll be.

Bayside - what did they do to deserve this??

South Shore Select / Bolts - the LL BA relationship just keeps getting better. SSS second teams have always been trash. Don’t worry though, pockets keep getting lined, hers your $300 credit because we love our families but we’ve raised our fees $600. Green Lions and Strikers United partnerships are going to have to be called upon just to fill the rosters. Can’t wait to watch the South Shore Select Bolts Green Lions Strikers United play SPOLBEST!
                  This post is so funny.....

Have you ever seen even 1 ECNL regional league game?

I don’t think there’s an edge at all. The best players are taken regardless of where they played the prior year.

Several. Also saw one Regional team practice a few times. The team I saw was weaker than the NPL team my player plays for.

Aren’t the ECNL regional teams the old Northeast NPL teams?

Who’s left in NPL now with ECNLR and DPL? Is the NEP NPL shutting down?

                              Good questions.

How do you figure less money??? SSS is the most expensive. Tuition to start is more. They charge $125 minimum for every tournament, mandatory clinics, camps and indoor leagues. Adds up to thousands.
