Monkey for sure. Do you think that people can't see that you teed up the original post to suck people in about the CDL? You are the same maniac that is always posting inflammatory posts to suck people into arguing with you. Then if nobody bites you post 2 or 4 or 5 posts of your own in a "simulated conversation." Then you steer the conversation in one very predictable direction: criticizing TBU West, Celtic, Strictly and Clearwater. I am assuming your kid did not find success at any of these clubs...

My kid plays CDL and yes we know it is not a top league. But we also know our team is not very good. At least not able to compete with the top 20 teams in the state. They should lower fees for parents as it is just organized recreation soccer with the benefit of pretending to be competitive... and that means they are "pretending" to be developing the kids and it shows.

It's all about the money, as long as parents are ignorant to the fact that the CDL and USA Leagues are basically recreational leagues, clubs will continue to rip them off. The average soccer parent has no clue about the CDL, they rely on the DOC to tell them, so the DOC has a vested interest to tell them that the league is the top league in the area and has the top clubs. This is somewhat true, it does have the top clubs in the area, but they fail to disclose that those clubs send their bottom teams to play in the CDL.

This is not true, they do not send there bottom teams. They do not have the DA teams play in CDL, they have their own league. They do have players that play both NPL and CDL. Especially if another club that is not in NPL is having success in CDL. They kind of tailor a team to the level of competition.

Sorry, "zookeeper", you are way off. That was my first post on this thread. But you definitely just came out as a Kool-aid drinker! So, how's your high and mighty CDL team doing against the USA teams? Probably not as good as you thought!

I was wondering how you CDL losers would spin this... You can't take that non members are coming in and kickibg your *** of course this was already happening in tournaments and in Region C and State Cup, but now it's right in your face and instead of manning up and admit that the small clubs can also provide good training you spin it like this... You are really and true losers in every sense of the word

Just curious, but anyone know why most of the teams that are subbing for age groups are winning at a high percentage in the CDL? Most of these teams were playing in the USA League last year, and I dont think a single one of them won their division last year in the USA League, yet they are practically dominating the CDL.

Keep trying to spin, neither WFF or TBU send their A teams to the CDL on the girls side, as a matter of fact WFF mainly sends their C teams to the CDl because the administration at WFF really wants nothing to do with the CDL.

There is no doubt there are some weaker and some stronger teams in CDL (what league does not have some stronger and some weaker teams - not much parity in youth sports). But in our age bracket, of our nine teams 5 are ranked at 25 or better in Got soccer rankings and of those 5, 3 also play NPL. The level of completion is significantly higher than USA and in our age group the lowest CDL teams would handily beat the better USA teams. Having said that, the strongest CDL teams tend to be those teams that also play NPL - which makes sense.

Gotsoccer rankings beyond the top 10 really isn't reliable. So unless those 5 teams you are referring are in the top 10, not top 25, your CDL group is significantly weaker than any other state league.

CDL and USA should merge into a true relegation league, with a D1, D2 and D3 (if needed), top 4 team move up next year, bottom four from D1 move down.

TBU has none of their top teams playing in the CDL. Basically you have clubs like Sarasota, Strictly, Lakeland, Houston Dynamo which is essentially the USA League.
                                TBU U16G Premier play CDL

It is great for a top ranked team that rosters 23 players to get the scrubs on the team some playing time.
