All teams have roster turnovers, even those that won SC last year. Why should a team even get points from something they did last season??? Shouldn't they be seeded on this season's achievements?

U17 boys SC champs lost 1 player to college, Everyone else stayed.
Yes they should be awarded points on this years achievements, the problem being at the older ages its about showcasing players. Not wins or loss' until state cup comes around, most tournaments at this age are showcases.
Teams like U17 boy Boca qualified for leagues based upon previous years record, then lost 1/2 players- got whooped in every league. Now are seeded #1 based on participation in these leagues. Brought in guest college players to showcase events and had regular players sit bench- What a JOKE.

If that's true, then they won't make it to the Round of 16. Beat them in group play, and you move on.

order of seeded teams won't be final until 3/1. till then you really don't know which group they will fall in. I don't understand why they don't just use rankings (from a variety of sources - who cares) to establish a better order. A team ranked #41, gets to advance to R2 automatically because they were the worst team in FSPL - not winning one game, when there are top #10 teams not seeded that have to fight their way through R1 because they chose to play in leagues, other than FYSA's.
