WFF just needs to find a great leader to run it's ECNL program. They keep hiring from within and that person is just not there. They should look outside their club, and even outside the state if necessary to find a qualified person the head up this elite program. What an embarrassment the BOD's have made of this program for the club! They keep taking soccer trainers and try to make club managers of them. Big difference! Fat Randy was doing a better job than this latest bunch! Time to pay the right person to make this program shine as it should.

The only team with a positive goal differential (+4) is their U18, which is comprised of so many girls that came from all over... this talent was not developed at this club. Even worse that supports this is that there are girls on this team that are not even true U18, they are younger, but their parents know the younger teams are not competitive, at least not in this league. I am sure this club is not the vision of ECNL. OC on the other hand, has managed, and I never thought it possible, to turn their debacle around over the last 1 1/2 yrs, and have pulled all of their teams ahead of WFF, except the WFF U18. The older group is not a surprise since OC struggled to keep elite players in the oldest age group as the surrounding clubs were very successful and they did not leave their club and run to OC.
Its the same reason N FL and SFL can't get there acts together to expand the program in Florida- the FKK/JFC/PDA arguments of who should be in charge while we ALL bash the programs put do all kind of mergers in hopes of gaining one of the few remaining bids for ECNL. IN SF Sunrise/BOCA/ Miami arguing and continual infighting. No one looks at the logistics of needed a travel partner with weekend schedules- No ENCL teams in the region will travel from Jacksonville to SF in one weekend and then return to NC/SC or GA/AL- so as you plan your takeover from WFF and OC better plan on some new locations vs 5.5 hrs apart. But bet you all are applying trying to get the very program you are bashing?
That's the problem with everyone on this spouting off uniformed opinions and trolling rumors. WFF is NOT losing ECNL- If any club is in danger of probation suggest you look at Las Vegas who across the age groups( EXCEPT U16) is in last or next to last place and the individual game spreads. As far as the training and developmental model WFF is following the US Federation Model for Development:
Suggest you do better research:

SA: On the boys side, there’s the U.S. Soccer Development Academy whereas U.S. Club Soccer’s ECNL fills the role for the elite on the girls side. A big difference is the ECNL is age pure. …
JILL ELLIS: For development purposes, we need our better players playing up. It can’t just be about having ownership of a team and wanting to win a championship.
For special players, it has to be what’s best for their development. It sometimes means the U-15 coach letting go of their best players to play up.
I’d love to see clubs have events where they put all their top players together, where a 15-year-old is playing with 18-year-olds, because many of them can do it.

First, your argument about DA is irrelevant. Or are you arguing that all ECNl clubs have aligned with DA's ? Really think you just like to see your own blubber in writing, I mean you hit submit twice did you not? The Ecnl is about developing TEAMS of players, not the individual (say whatever you want - NO ECnl club in FL has or will do that... They count on the running of the bulls (female players and their crazy parents to the nearest club). And why crap on IMG? last year their U18 G was nationally ranked 1st, not just 1st for FL, and our current ecnl clubs could only pray for anything similar within our own state!

At the 16 and 17 groups they wiped the slate clean and brought in whole new teams.

First I didn't praise OC, just thought they turned around what was a complete debacle. Does that sound like praise? However, WFF actually had some good girls' teams before ecnl came, what happened to them? My impression of ecnl is basically that though: they take kids from other clubs and try to say they are responsible for their talent. that is hogwash.

Can you really credit any club with a player's development? Most quality players are "good" because of their determination, desire, dedication, and work ethic. They want to be the best and make the effort to achieve their goals. ECNL is a place for these quality girls to gather. The club just needs to train the girls to play as a cohesive team.
