This is highly unethical and will destroy clubs who enter their players in the division for which they are qualified. Imagine being an up and coming team or club playing in FCL 1 or 2. You show up to your game and end up playing top ecnl players and get crushed. This does nothing to develop the lower teams and they will move on to leagues who actually care about development and growth.
Florida Primer does this as well. They take FCL1 and ECNL players and play them down leagues and still lose. Complete clown show.

Other clubs do it too, especially when the lower team barely has enough to put on the field whether injury, Covid, family emergency, etc.

Or if the lower team just sucks, desperately needs a win and the club has four teams sitting in the bottom half of the bracket. And they still lose. Clown show.

Or if they do not have enough to fill a team for the FCL because the club lost all those players and families and are forced to utilize what they got.

              FL Cup ripoff

Fl Cup is a one and done competition. At least with the FYSA cups you get more games for your money.

State Cup (And Florida Cup for that matter) are outdated. For the last 7 years participation in state cup has been on the decline. With State and Multi State leagues teams play all the better teams on a regular basis. No need to join state cup to play them like you used to in the past. Its actually redundant at this point.

This is true. We played state cup 2 years ago and played all the same teams we played in FSPL. Had to drive to the panhandle as well. waste of time and money to play the same teams.

Looks like not all groups are the same. Everything is fine for us. We have played 6 games and have 7 left in the spring. With the number of tournaments we play this is more than enough for us.

we are just hearing of this now and cant figure out if this is true or if the coach/club is just BSing us for some reason.
you have to have 4 or 6 games in an FYSA sanctioned league to participate in State Cup. Your director and coaches should have known this. This is why people play some goofy league to get a couple games in to qualify for State Cup

I always enjoyed State Cup and the travel didn't bother us. Clearly its not the same level of play since most of the big clubs have pulled out but its still fun for the kids to have the cup games to look forward to.

This guy is toxic every thing he touches with his grubby, greedy hands. Unless a club is pathetic and desperate, they would be very dumb to join a club managed by other club leaders especially FESA. At the end of the day, they are going to do what is good for their clubs first and financially what their leadership has to skim financially for THEIR own benefit. They do it for no other reason than control and financial. They probably charge outside clubs more money. Who would know better?

FCL will survive for sure. I would expect a few more clubs but not many more to join. FYSA panicked when everyone started jumping ship and is now accepting any club that applies. I think you will see more small clubs join FYSA.

The larger clubs will be spreading the teams out over ECNL/GAL/MLS etc.. The smaller clubs will split over FSPL and FCL. local leagues are dying from all the competition from all the leagues with at least two more big leagues in the mix next year.
