Pretty sure Lebron just signed a lifetime contract with Nike worth over a billion. So while Messi and CR7 might have made more this year, lets not fool ourselves over who will make the most money as an athlete. Also, if your the 10th best American born soccer player in the world, you make, what, about 500,000 a year. 10th best American born basketball player makes $30 million salary plus another 5 or so in endorsements. Are you sure this is the battle you want to argue for soccer?
