Who cares about Wesley Chapel? They lost all their players and have a few u16, U17 players mixed in. They don't have enough players to field a team. They have played 3 out of 5 games with 10 or 11 players with no subs. That may be why they are not showing their roster. They probably got into FSPL because of their coach and his c9nnection.

The team was strong and split up after making the final 4. Main reason coach and ED did not want their actions questioned. How else can explain a quality team splitting up? It is old news been totally vetted already.

The story just sports the theory if a team can stay together long term the do well.

Parental influence is a big part of youth sports, helicopter parenting is so big nowadays that it's become disruptive to the point that children don't learn to grow and accept consequences as parents will fix everything. It's sad, but true and "vetted".

Unfortunately, there isn't 1 good team in Tampa bay now. Even those that left for "greener pastures" have since left those pastures as well. Begs the question why. Enjoy the last year. Go BOCA!

I don't get why people are saying they are arrogant. Haven't seen any crazy or overly confident comments from even the LAZ defenders. I also don't see why the U17 argument means anything. The fact that they are playing down should argue that they SHOULD be better than these younger teams. If you knew anything about the previous U18 you'd know it is far stronger than the U17 last year in terms of quality and college level players. They are a top 3 team in the state along with RM and Boca no argument. Clay is top 10. WFF is nowhere near these teams and the scores reflect that. Pinecrest is the only team I'd say are sleepers have a very technical forward. Rush and Brevard will be competitive in every game but will never be more technical or play a better style than their opponents. Let's just sit back and watch the games unfold and let the best teams rise to the top. No point in trying to diminish any current standings. Right now Leg A Z and Boca are the top 2 team in the standings and deservedly so. They've beat most opponents by a good margin and have not lost. They've earned respect in this age group.

Are you playing the showcase levels at IMG and/or Casl or any other top level tournament???? That is really the priority this year not the league.

I don't think u understand. The only priority for these teams at this age is getting into the showcases.

FSPL or any other league is just warm up, no college coaches watch league games and the placement in the league won't help you for next year.

It's really a mute point who is the strongest team in the league. Qualify and enter showcases and u do your players a big favor.

Disney showcase is the biggest of the year. Only 10 Florida teams got accepted either through state cup or qualifier.

U16 and U17, the FSPL was important because you got into the showcases based on performance in that league but not at the U19 level because it's the last year for these guys.

For your team yes, but some teams go to Casl , IMG showcase and Disney showcase what's way more important for them than any FSPL game.

It's pretty clear Boca will take it all. Pretty dismal year for many teams that were once strong, and no it's not because the "better" kids went to DA. Enjoy the final year of soccer and hope the boys learned something over their soccer life to help in their years to come.

If your kid does not have 2-3 colleges in serious talks already if not at least 1 solid offer then you are way behind and probably have a slim to none chance of having your kid play at the next level unless you have a pro connection already.

Chest thumping over. What good is it to win a League / State Cup or finish top in the state and the 4th place team puts more players in college than your team did? It means the players and parents took their eyes of the REAL prize.

League is fun but get those letters/emails out and get your kids seen people!
