The Florida State Cup 2019 will also include YMCA teams, community rec soccer teams, and after school soccer pickup teams. Those parents will need to make sure their players have matching t-shirts with a team name on the front and numbers on the back of the shirt. Blue jeans may be worn but shin guards (Pads that protect the shins) must go on the outside of the jeans. Players are not allowed to smoke on the fields, and parent's can't drink alcohol on the sidelines (unless in a red Solo cup!). We will need one parent from each team to referee each game. Said parent must have watched at least one MLS game in their lifetime to be allowed to officiate the game. Each team must provide one game ball for each game. Volleyballs and red rubber kickballs will not be allowed as substitutes for a soccer ball!

In FESA’s case, they are sending ecnl players to play on president’s cup teams.

My son plays in an ECNL team.
The top half players of a good club team would make most ECNL rosters.
The best part of ECNL is how organized and well ran it is. A showcase is an actual showcase. You will see college coaches at playoff games as well.
Other than that its the same s h i t.
If your kid doesn't care about playing at the college level then a good club team is fine. Nothing wrong with playing State Cup despite what the *********s in the forum might say.
If he/she wants to play college soccer then ECNL is the better option. They have a better chance of being seen here.

There are no ECNL programs in Palm Beach County for my kid. Same thing with DA. The fact that a kid plays in those leagues says as much about where he or she lives as it does their soccer skills.

Those clubs that do this are bad examples. Fesa and tbu are perfect examples, heck tbu even had ecnl teams playing in CDL league.
