OC spends peanuts on academy. Has no facility, no director, and under qualified coaches. It’s is a joke. What is there to reduce? What you are trying to say is that MV would be OC’s way of continuing to avoid to make the real investment that an MLS academy would require. Because they have never made it. Look at what atlanta United has done with its academy in the first year. The facility, the coaches, and the results on the field. OC is a pretender.

Even with the way OC is running their academy it costs at least 100k per team. So it is no small investment.

No way. That figure is way off. And it’s no excuse in any event. ATL spent $30 million on a facility in the first year for its first team and academy. OC still trains at a converted public park after what now, 3 years in the league. No comparison between the commitments made by the owners. One knows what he wants and is all in and the other is lost.

          No commitment to training ground
No commitment to players who can win
          No commitment to Academy

The only commitment is to their check book and lining up the next purchaser of the franchise when their coffers will overflow with profits.

Some of the boys DA programs are fully funded and offer on residence school programs. OC is looking to the future with the Montverde dorms.

They cant do any worse than what the current program is at. Plus hopefully the BS politics will be less.

Monteverde is a political nightmare and if your kids can afford to go there, they have made the team, even if they suck!!

Doubt that , if that were the case they wouldn't be giving scholarships to foreign kids. But if true sounds almost the same as OCDA , if you $uck up to the coaches well then you know the rest. Either way, at u16 and above the kids that are not as good as they thought will get exposed.

The only way to play at monte verde is to have money or be a foreigner. It is how they role and they are only good because they use kids that are suppose to be in high school but they might have 3 kids if their own back home.

Covington, La., St. Paul’s (17-0-3), which is ranked No. 1 by MaxPreps, won on penalty kicks vs. [BOLD]Miami Gulliver Prep[/BOLD], and will face Melbourne (16-1-1) in the other semi.

OC is getting out of the youth business. Expect no funding from Brazilian owner moving forward. The beginning of the end

Your obviously not to bright. you would be committing "Youth Soccer Suicide" to criticize and put your name on it. There are coach's that will blackball your kid in a moment.
