In the first ECNL league games of the year, CU convincingly beat FC in all ages except 1. Congrats CU on the strong showing!

One Oregon ECNL club down and one to go. Go Thorns!

Not a big deal. It was exactly the opposite in some previous years. Fact is, either club would wipe the floor with Thornz Asylum.

First games aren't as indicative as last. Will be interesting to see if there is a development difference by summertime. Wish it was the same with Thorns Academy so we could all see the differences and which might be the best path for our dds. All three of our elite team paths would be stronger if they were more open to evaluation and cross competed. It would help all 3 paths become better and more popular but the powers that be seem scared it would hurt them. Sad.

Huh? *** garbalish are you talking about? Do you want a catalog full of pictures to flip through to compare the programs?

Our boys at BSC won at all 5 age groups over the THUSC boys this fall in league.

Glad to know this site is for useless local club celebrations.

Not true and usually 50/50. A switch has been flipped.

                    THUSC has a boys program?

                    Who knew?

There are already mass defections planned in the 05 and 04 Crossfire United age groups. A group from each has already planned a move to DA at the end of the season. I think parents are weary of hearing coaches repeatedly bash DA to the girls in an attempt to keep the money coming in.

Congratulations CU, you are the win the tallest local midget award. CU can now hope for wins over Boise and Utah so that they can finish the season with three wins. FC, you might go winless. So, what is the combined O/U on goal differential for the local ECNL teams? -75?

Yes, a switch has been flipped. There is a new level of lunacy now on TS - you are celebrating wins over the other local ECNL team. That's like saying your learning disabled kid won the spelling bee over another learning disabled kid.

Not true, there will be more wins this year as the Thorns are still not attracting all of the best talent leaving the PDX ECNL clubs virtually intact. Clubs such as Crossfire Premier will be fielding their B teams as their ECNL offering, which will hold for most of the best clubs throughout the US. ECNL will not be as competitive going forward. If Portland could ever field one top club on age, these teams I believe would become much more success.
