Earlier post said it best, there's 21 on the team. No chance for her to get called up. What were we thinking being apart of this political nightmare.

And just like that...Looks like the thread for the TBU 2001 team has been resurrected?
Much truth! Too many players the last 7-8 should not be rostered? Sad,too many parents want it for their daughters, instead of seeing reality? They will be pissed this year and raise hell when their child doesn't get much playing time or is asking to sub for lower teams. The sad thing is they will hold onto a the fact their child is on an ECNL team? Meanwhile, their daughter's self esteem is tied to this ? It's just so wrong and sad?

We have been with 3 clubs in the Tampa Bay area..... TBU is, by far and away, the best run club in the Bay area.

I was refreshed at the ECNL meeting. AB went over their 'new philosophy'. Going back to technical training. BRAVO - FCS has done this since our players were 5yrs old . look at the top players, besides a few?

Surprised at the 2000's? A bunch still hog the ball withtheir head down - go straight for the goal ? Don't pass? But lost to the '01's?

Sounds like you don't know where you stand in the pecking order, not that TBU coaches would tell anyone- just look at soccer.com at your team to see how you are truly listed- DO you really believe on the girls side there is an ECNL Team 2- reality check- false promises and we will gladly take your money- now move out.

I call BS, I went to soccer.com and searched for TBU's team list. There is not an ECNL Team 2 on the list. I even went to the Gotsoccer page and TBU's website. Nowhere is there a ECNL Team 2 listed.

True?? We'v never said we have a tier 2 ECNL team??? Clearly- you have NO idea what you are talking about? You could only hope to be part of a club that has so much talent and room for growth! There is a an RSP3 team, a premier team and a NPL team and a FSPL team.., overall our club has 7,000 players?

Please- you are obviously not part of our club or team. My daughter is and has been a leader on our team for the last two yrs- whether it's based on goals,assists, fitness, playing time, playing up or overall ranking based upon testing results... I don't think there should be an ECNL 2 team, but because of parent bitching and coaches pulling for certain players- wrong choices were made again and it is really clear when you watch the team play.
And the whole gotsoccer ranking.. I understand your point- my daughter and a few other top players from our team have played in big time events with other top players from teams that are highly ranked On gotsoccer. I actually do know what I'm talking about

2001 has 20 on current roster and another player recovering from an ACL tear at all the practices

NPL team with kids not showing up for practice, coach just now putting kids on field to play in positions, and then pull them off the field and tell them they are not playing as a team, when this is the first time they have been together and put on the field together. On top of that they have a tournament in 4 days, and the keeper that was put on the team would not make a rec team, but this is suppose to be the team right below DA, and we train with them twice a week and 17 kids on the team , so 6 on the bench, and the coach wants a philosophy that everyone plays half a game, so you have players that travel sometimes up to an hour to make it to practice, and then pay the fees, and you want to let a player who is not the caliber to be on the team play because you want to fill the teams up as much as possible for the $'s, also parents are not allowed to sit on the field and watch practice, which I feel is somewhat ok, but dont alienate us, especially when some of us drive an hour to practice, not like we can drop them off and go home. This will for sure equal a decline in participation.

I think your right. For the clubs who have ECNL, talent will shift up again. Some of their FSPL and NPL teams won't be as competitive as last year. We will see. Also, smaller clubs that don't have DA or ECNL are probably going to have a false assessment of how their NPL/FSPL teams are doing this year if they play well against these clubs. Just an observation.

I am confused, if this is a girls TBU team then they do not have DA. Wouldn't their second team be the one bellow their ECNL team?

Also at GDA parents are not allowed to sit by the field for practice. Also 17 players on a team does not sound unreasonable.

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone with my previous comment. I was referring to boys and girls with regards to DA/ECNL/FSPL/NPL.

I agree with you too that 17 players is not unreasonable but I stick to my comment if they are riding the pine. They'll keep her on the team and just add more players (looking for more talent while she still pays) as the years progress. I recommend her looking at other options.

This is so typical tbu. All the hype at tryouts about how they learned their lesson about over-populated teams, were looking at having 16 players per team, your kid will get promoted to the top team, blah, blah, blah.

Running Shane off? That pos quit on this team mid season, I'm sure his ego was tarnished when his pathetic negative style didn't work.
The problem now is the parents asses that were kissed by Shane will not be kissed by the new coach.
