So MLS attendance is directly correlated to high school soccer quality. OK. Learn something new every day.

So some guy in Tampa knows what's going on in the minds and households of girls who live in Atlanta and therefore can predict their decisions (ECNL vs GDA). Probably about as good as a prior poster knows how good individual coaches are at FESA vs FKK vs WFF vs JFC or whatever.
      I call BS.
You really are clueless aren't you?
Two schools in ATL (St Pius X & Westminster) are in the Top 5 nationally.
Add to that the long soccer history associated with the schools in Cobb, Fayette & Gwinnett Counties, as well as the migration of the population into north Fulton (Alpharetta, John's Creek & Roswell). Add to that the Forsyth County, as well.
So yes, HS soccer is very, very important in the Atlanta area.

MLS attendance was high at a game in Atlanta thus proving Atlanta a "hot bed" of high school soccer therefore many or most of Atlanta's best girl players will choose HS/ECNL over GDA, so ECNL in Central Florida is better than GDA which proves my point that ECNL is Florida should not be called a "B league". I agree.

Thread summary: TBU wants what WFF has (GDA).

Otherwise this thread would not exist. Don't see any threads dedicated to bashing TBU and ECNL.

Translation for you kool-aid WFF drinkers: evidently 70+ girls in one off season did not want GDA. At least not with YY still in charge. Until that changes, your club will continue to suck wind.

This is spot on. Obviously this guy has some kind of personal agenda going either against WFF or maybe if in some people's eye they might view the DA better than ECNL.

Personally I don't care if this club or that club might be better. They will all be competitive enough and as long as my daughter is able to enjoy and follow her dream with soccer is what matters. Not who left. I don't know the older girls as well but with the 03 and 04 age the few that are gone some were good but far from impact players, like most replaceable. But either way the players that are still there matter more than the one that are gone

We will see come April what the DA records will be for the 03s & 04s.
                Hint-it won't be pretty.

Don't care as long as they are happy and getting better. Winning is up to her and her teammates. Risk of losing is part of it. Can't just run off to a new club when things don't go their way. You are only fueling your daughter's self entitlement. The 03 team lost with your daughter so they can't doing any worse without her

Trouble with losing is it saps the soul of a young athlete . The more you lose the less you care . Coaches see it in players all the time things go bad and players that are used to losing quit . You can talk all you want about training but in the end if your going out every week and getting smacked around well only thing it teaches you is how to be a loser .

If you are afraid they might lose then better you keep them out of sports. If they are true competitors they will try harder, train harder to win. In the meantime they should build on the small victories. What is a more admirable attribute in a kid is that they won't quit even when they are losing. Will encourage their teammates not blame them, will not make scapegoats of their coaches. Quiting and going somewhere else because you think the odds will be in better favor for your kid teaches them they don't have to work hard for what they want or face adversity. Look for the short cut.

Remains to be seen how the GDA teams at WFF will do but they all want to be there and are committed to training hard and getting better. For myself that is what youth sports are all about.

Bingo! Their little daughter wasn't good enough for GDA, it is so obvious it's painful

This year's 03 team is already better than last year. Yes, they lost some quality girls, but the GK is significantly improved. The defense is solid, the midfield is about the same and we have 2 scorers up top now. Last year's team wasn't bad, minus the ability to score. This year's team resolved that problem. So far they have won all of their scrimmages, including easily handling the 04 Boys Team, 3-1. They lost 3-4 quality girls and replaced them with 90-95% replacements, that gel better as a team. They also have a coach that is building quality out of the girls, instead of tearing them down. I am not saying they will be dominant, but they will be fine.

They actually were the 05 boys teams to clarify. Also not aware of any other scrimmages besides some inter-squad stuff with other DA girls teams, and those have sometimes been mixed with the younger team.

05 correct, typo. Inter-squad stuff started out 03 vs 04 and quickly became mixed to keep it competitive.

Definitely impressed with how the club is running the 03 group.
