State Cup

Historically, spring of U13 has been the season when all clubs entered the State Cup and any debates about a "top 10" and the strength of the competing leagues could be decided on the field. Not any more--see the State Cup thread--MAPLE teams left out this year. Too bad.

Getting to nationals is quite a feat for this team. Valeo doesn't take futsal at all seriously, several top U13 players aren't even on the roster, practice is once a week and poorly attended. The indoor turf is where the real action is at Valeo in winter. Can't wait till spring.

No sooner did someone say that the mighty V "played somebody better" (mark that down as the first honest and humble comment to come from the V camp - I respect that)... than the excuses hit this site like the current snowstorm.

Now:
V doesn't take futsal seriously... but is happy to tell everyone who will listen that they're taking at least three teams all the way to KC.
And "several" top players aren't even on the roster... sure looked like the outdoor team to me, minus one kid.
Practice is once a week and poorly attended... thought the practices were always overflowing with players?

Valeo U13 going to futsal nationals, carrying the flag for MA.

Is Explosion U13 allowed to carry part of the MA flag into the opening ceremony with you guys?

That sounds soooo cute. Well, have "fun" then, Explosion team. Try to aspire to go beyond group play elimination next year or drop the futsal piece from your program altogether.
