Would anyone recommend CCO for boys travel program.. I heard they are going through a lot of changes, and in the past three years lost a lot of valuable and skilled players to other surrounding clubs?

It is primarily a feeder club for the teams at the bigger local clubs in the older age groups. It is probably fine and a better bargain for younger age groups. But yeah, most coaches are daddy coaches and can vary in quality so talk to the appointed coaches first if you can. If your kid is upper tier when he reaches middle school age you might want to start looking around (if he hasn't been poached already). Since at the younger age groups CCO plays against most of the surrounding clubs already (West Pines, Weston, Davie, Pinecrest, etc) if your son is talented he will already be targeted for recruiting by them. You will find that a lot of bigger clubs assemble their talented teams through recruiting rather than development. This is partially the reason it is so ridiculous to pay high fees when playing academy level travel. Save your money for the future or reinvest it in additional training instead.

CCO is the club that a player leave by the time they are U13. CCO does not participate in State Cup only region cup. CCO is a club where a kid strictly goes there for fun and to play with friends (there is nothing wrong with that). It is not for the serious soccer player who wants to play competitive ball.
