Can't wait for this explanation as to why Oldsmar had to forfeit their game on Saturday. Rumor is they had a player from Orlando City's ECNL team play the game and score the games only goal. Rumor also is this player was told by the refs at the second game on Saturday that she could not play. There is also a rumor Oldsmar had a Hernando kid on the team for the tournament that had a copy of her player pass and that her coach did not give permission for her pass to be used. Even better the team that was bumped in the championship may have also had a Hernando kid playing for them with the same player pass issue. Anyone want to expand on this story.Comment

The more surprising issue was that the quality of teams attending seemed to be much lower than in the past, at least at the lower ages. Perhaps there are just more tourneys at this time of the year than in the past?Comment

Ok lets recap, the Oldsmar team had 2 illegal players, that is correct. What is the whole truth is, that they did beat Florida Spirit on Saturday, and the one of the players were caught before the game started and was not allowed to play. They ended up beating the spirit. Fast forward to Sunday, nothing was changed on the website, scores remained the same, and reflected a loss by Spirit. Now the Oldsmar team pulled the same fast one Sunday against Dynamo, but Dynamo did not catch it until someone said something from the Spirit in the last 5 mins of the game. At that point the game was almost over and it ended up being a tie. Now as the schedule sets, Dynamo and TBU were set to play in the final, kids and parents celebrated, left to get lunch and to hurry and return, and when they returned, the tournament directors changed the scores and the brackets 40 mins before game time. WHY???? Well lets see. The spirit coach complained and complained that he got beat even though the ECNL player was caught before the game started and was not allowed to play but he still felt that he was cheated, so he convinced the directors to take the win from Oldsmar and give it to the Spirit. Which you can see some point he has since one of the two illegal players played. Now we have awarded spirit the win which puts them 1 point ahead of Dynamo, so they put them in the finals. But wait, the tie that was given to the Dynamo for playing the same Oldsmar team that cheated on Sunday and was not caught until the end of the game, dynamo should of been awarded the same, a win, just like the complaining coach from the Spirit was awarded, and therefore that would of put Dynamo ahead of Spirit and into the finals, but what is the crazy thing about it is the coach from spirit, SW, who happens to be a teacher showed his ***** in front of the kids along with the parents when he thought that he might not play in th finals as the tournament directors thought it would be fair to award dynamo the same results, which he was not going to have class less.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

My understanding is the ENCL player did not get caught till Oldsmar second game against TBU and that the ENCL player played against Spirit and scored the only goal of the game. This was the only game the ENCL player played.Comment

Just dance with the team you have and you won't have this problem! You are either good enough to win or you are not. Very sad that all of this confusion was caused by one jackass coach not playing by the rules. That coach or their club should be fined for cheating. I bet that won't happen!!!Comment

Wrong, caught at the start of the Spirit game and they never caught the Hernando player until almost the end of the Dynamo game on Sunday, as she had a fake players pass, as the manager of the team she plays for at Hernando was sitting on the sideline with her real card in hand waiting for the game to be over to tell the refs of her right age and about her fake players pass that her parents had printed out on there own and doctored. So Spirit had an understandable complaint, I will give them that, they had a player that was caught and one that was not, but if you are going to rectify the situation and make it right, then you must treat both situations the same and award both teams that faced Oldsmar as they were caught cheating, wins for both Dynamo and for Spirit and then let the points determine who goes to the final, and that would of been Dynamo, but nope, SW complained and complained until he was put in the finals. Which was a cluster and that is why they did not change it and award it back to Dynamo to play in the finals, because they had already messed up and put Spirit in the final 40 mins before the game started and did not switch it around again. I mean how can you change scores and bracket winners after games have already been played and right before the game starts. Poor ran tournament, and none of the Dynamo teams will be back next year, per statement put out today explaining the situation and how they plan to boycott all WFF tournaments next year.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Ecnl player DID play in first game. She scored only goal of game. There was a post it note on roster before first game saying she could not play. For whatever reason, the ref ignored it and allowed her to play. The ref of second game, however, saw the note and didn't ignore it. Went over and called tournament director on the phone where he was told she couldn't play, then the player was notified before second game.Comment
