    FC Florida

Never have we had more than 20 D1 kids at try-outs. This year was different. Roughly 60 signed up for try-outs. Tough to tell how many were serious about coming, but more than 40 were legitimate D1 players. FC Florida has not had a complete D1 roster for one team, let alone two teams. Too early to tell if that happens, but last year's State Cup team will pick up solid players from Wellington, Sunrise, Plantation and other clubs. First time the team will start the season with 18 true D1 kids. No player losses is also a good start.

Did you lose #50? Are you trying to tell us the kids you picked up from WSC are D1 players? You picked up one who is one of the most over-rated player in south Florida.

U16 is tough to say what teams are going to shine. So many younger DA kids will be moving onto other teams, and then you have the bar raised even hire on the NPL side of the fence. That being said I'd look for the programs with the DA teams to continue to put out the very best product at the older ages. They attract the best players. Then you have the 3rd tier kids/teams who don't play DA and wouldn't make an NPL league team at a DA club... who may be in the same league, but not in the same class as the scores will reflect.

Keep in mind the top kids have left for DA, so teams that are left are basically a watered down version of talent. In any case, DA isn't for everyone. If your kid was on that high path you would have known it a couple years ago. Be happy playing in the lower leagues even if you don't win it is supposed to be fun. Adults are the ones that ruin that aspect for the kids.

What the HELL are you talking about????? Because DA is a calendar year program, the u16 DA will be comprised of largely '99 players but the best DA clubs will have older '99 boys ( rising u17 in fysa)with a few younger '99 (rising u16 in fysa) players. There will be a few '00 in the mix but not many. Many of the older '00 players (risng u16 fysa)are finishing up u14 DA and will play regular club next year as u16 players. THAT is where there may be some surprises next year on the u16 teams at the DA clubs. Or perhaps those players will play up at U17.

We don't view it as a loss. He began playing with us through cooperation with Mako three years ago. He's the kind of kid that people want to help...gifted, polite, appreciative and loved by his teammates.

He was seen during Dallas Cup and he has been picked up by a northern MLS residential Academy program. Every one is thrilled for him. Doesn't feel like a loss at all.

Also, last years featured scorer on our U16 team is dropping back to play with us on-age. He's also a pool player and is a much more prolific scorer

You are wrong about the Wellington kid. He signed with another club.

            We will be competitive.

They will play U16 just not the DA. Good luck.

O please, stop the play on words. He played with you all year. You tryed to say you did not lose anyone. He left (for a good opportunity) but he still left the team.

Where did the single letter player go to?

I agree, FC Florida was a rock solid TEAM with all players really good, really didn't see anyone stand out. The only player that I thought was outstanding was Florida Fire's number 31. He was big, fast, and had exceptional skills-he truly made that team competitive. Their defense was soft and slow.

They will not have the new rosters yet Einstein. The 2015-2016 season is not over for DA yet!
