going back to the comment about weston playing there teams up so they are prepared for DA. Problem most those kids won't make it and what do they have to show for it, nothing. No state cup no Disney no colleges really looking at them. Sometimes it sounds good but think of the ones it doesnt help.

The DA is concerned with giving the best of the best in the US the highest chance of developing into international level professionals. College is the consolation prize, albeit a good one. The chance is still infinitely small but the way we've done it for the last 50 years isn't working. We can't keep adjusting down to the average mean. If your kid dreams of being a professional or at the very least playing D1, than the DA is for you. If your kid doesn't care about those things, than don't play DA....It's pretty simple.

You did not answer the question. You said the TBU and Chargers DA had a hard time adjusting to the addition of a new age group at u13/14. The question is why did they struggle when the likes of Weston and OC excelled and even Jacksonville, Boca, IMG adapted and did
OK. Why did the Tampa clubs have such a hard time? Fair question.

I heard it should of been about 4 or to 1 in favor of DA team but the coach moved players in and out and was not focused on score, but instead on giving all players pretty equal playing time, while the U14 team pretty much played their starters the whole game.

And will do pretty well as most of the best players across the country are playing in the DA. They will face good competition but not the best. Hope that it OK and they understand that and don't let it go to their heads.
