    MAPLE League

I have been in club soccer for over ten years and MAPLE looks so much different without CSU, NEFC, Scorpions, Stars and WUP teams part of the mix. These clubs are no longer listed These clubs were always at the top of all divisions back in the day. How times have changed. Most of the clubs sound like town programs.

my guess Rush is now going to control most of the Maple divisions now that almost every other big club is out,

Valeo will be top dog in MAPLE and demand changes to keep up with regional leagues.

Blazers will be contending at all ages.

I would also expect tha Coastal FC to do very well in Maple now that other groups have moved on..

I wonder how much longer PT will stay there if MAPLE is not considered a "top flight" league..

                      Question

Can/do clubs play teams in multiple leagues or does each club have to participate in only one league?

None of the NEP clubs are playing in MAPLE next year. They did in the past put different teams in MAPLE but looks like they are all in with US CLub starting this fall. NEP clubs or should I say US Club Soccer Clubs are playing in multiple leagues (NEP, NPL and ECN). MAPLE teams will most likely play in Region 1 and Sub-Region. This is a big hit to USYSA and MYSA not just MAPLE.

MYSA has a real chance to fix some things around here but unfortunately they are not going to do that because they are double dipping on the player registration fees. It is the same reason why they don't use Gotsoccer and a lot of other subtle things that just screw up the youth soccer environment in Mass. The net result is the clubs are trying to flee from MYSA for good reason. It is sad because the US Club Soccer world is all about the big clubs and what they are doing is driving the cost for all of us through the roof will little or no tangible benefit to bulk of the soccer families.

It is time for some level-headed indivuals to step up and fix town soccer. Let the so-called elites have their fun with whatever name they come up with for the next league. The thousands of dollars being spent to play for these clubs is not far short of robbery. MYSA need to step in and offer the majority of families a lower cost option that still provides legitimate training and competition; ditch all the private leagues, restrict field use and provide first opportunity to fields (that we have all paid for) for town teams. Mandate higher level of coaching and provide the resources for it to be attained. Have promotion/relegation be meaningful and make MTOC more important than the MPS sham summer showcase. The privatization of maple and the others have ruined it for all. States with success have no private league; it is run by the state organization ie: minnesota youth soccer, with divisional play. The formats are available for all to follow. Be like Market Basket employees and demand the change by strangling the flow of money and putting the proper people in charge.

                              I agree with your suggestion.

It would be great if MYSA offered a Sunday league for all towns to participate in. Each town can enter 1 or 2 teams per age group and then at the end of the year have a state tournament.

                              Unfortunately MYSA is inept
