If they win, it's because they don't develop good players and the girls are just plugged into a system (that must mean that the coaching and talent is very good, but you'll never admit to that). If they lose, it's because they don't know how to coach their talented players, or the talent is watered down, or they're in decline, etc.

Unfortunately, the same criticisms can be made of your club - no matter what club you're from. You don't win enough because either the coaching isn't very good or because the talent is way too limited. If your record is decent, we all know that you're playing very weak competition.
Never mind this stupid argument, how much winning are they actually doing on the soccer field? Have they won any championships lately?

Have you seen their cumulative record in ECNL (the top league in the U.S.)? Yes, you have, but you won't acknowledge that. They play in ECNL championships in the next couple of weeks.
So, you're absolutely right - they haven't won any championships lately. Don't let the timing issue get in the way of your argument, though.

Why bother with ECNL, save your money (put into a college savings plan). 4 years of ECNL would pay for a year of college.

You could endure 4 years of mental abuse at the hands of JD.

I hate to tell you but if you put the money that you have invested into soccer from grade school, you could pay for college

I hate to tell you but if you put the money that you have invested in private school, instead of moving to a town that does better than most private school, your losing even more money and would be able to put 2 kids thru college.

Clueless statement, if your kid is going to college to play soccer, there is a school for them...D1----D2----D3-----NAIA ------ plenty of soccer if your kids want to play.

Plenty more for you to pay as well. Truth is none of this is really necessary for a college education.

Neither is art, band, chorus, debate team, hockey, lacrosse, or any other activity - some of which cost considerable $'s to pursue at the highest levels.

This mantra is as worn out as the Stars are at this point. Highest levels?? Does anyone actually believe the Stars still represent the highest level of soccer in Mass?

If on the girls side they don't, pray tell, who does?

We'll that is great. That is what any parent involved with or coach working for a club should think. You can blame whomever you want to blame but the issue you all now face is very few outside of the Stars actually believe that you represent the highest level of soccer in Mass so as a result you are not getting the top level players like you once did and your teams are getting weaker. The death spiral has started and you should all start thinking about the path the Scorpions took over the last several years because you are all now on it.

Why do the best Stars players not leave Stars and join NEFC, GPS, Aztecs, or whomever you think is #1? Why are you always worried that your top players will leave to join Stars? The best players move up, not down or sideways.

Your opinion of who the best players are is not likely the opinion of others. The best players are spread out on all of these rosters. The players who join Stars think they need the club or JD to get somewhere. The players on the other clubs realize that they are driving the bus.
