What's the deal with NEFC?

Anyone have an idea what the pay is for a D3 women's soccer coach who has no other university responsibilities?

Pretty simple. A bunch of NEFC kids wanted to go to MIT but the coach cannot make up that much GPA and SAT gap. Be realistic, folks. You don't want to go to a place like that if you don't have the candlepower.

Already some interesting results and a good weekend of D3 action (talking about mens).

Rochester beat SLU at home in a huge game last night 3-2. Rochester already had a loss and needed the win more than SLU who had moved up to #3 in the country.

Early surprises are two losses already by Rutgers-Camden and DePauw.

NESCAC in full swing this weekend with the biggest game tomorrow as Amherst travels to Middlebury. Amherst not impressive in first game against New England College, barely winning in OT. Bowdoin vs Wesleyan probably the next best game, as Colby travels to Williams, Trinity goes to Hamilton, and Bates plays Tufts. Is this finally the year that a very talented Tufts squad can challenge Williams and Amherst?

Another big game today has Babson against Oneonta State. A Babson win would be a good sign for them this year. Eastern CT vs MIT could be interesting. And expect Wheaton to keep their strong start on track vs Keene State.

Nationally, Messiah and Loras are going to be tough to beat and tough to keep out of another Final Four. Messiah probably made Redlands sorry about making the long trip East with a 4-0 drubbing while Loras had a comfortable win over Carleton. Big national games today are Emory taking on Ohio Northern, RPI playing Brockport State, and Hope against Wheaton (Ill), with the latter getting a good win 3-2 against Calvin last night.
