very entertaining
This is very entertaining. The tournament is not over and posters are already wondering who let the sky fall. When the women were winning were you questioning the training and the league setup? All of a sudden, Germany (can you imagine) looks better and what was great last year is suddenly faulty. Do you really think you need a DAP setup? Is this because the mens youth team have become so prominent on the world scene? Women's soccer, worldwide is relatively young and not well supported by any future professional ranks. The US team may simply be status quo while other countries are reaching their stride. This is no different than the men track and field past dominance, where a number of countries have also become dominant in all events.
But.....if it makes you feel better, you should consider paying more money into the youth system. Alternatively, the clubs could give you more for you money and work on producing better skilled players.

The US has squandered their lead. No other country in the world has as many potential players or our resources.

No. Unfortunately for me, however, you are not a liberal but also not to bright. Do you really think that my statement above suggests that parents should pay more money? I am more of the belief that clubs should give more for the money being asked. I am not a big fan of paying ridiculous amounts of money for only 2 days of practice per week and a game on the weekend.

Why do you think other top level players don't size things up in similar ways? If you are McKenzie Meehan do you honestly think that playing in a U20 event is going to generate as much upside for her in the long run as getting into camp on time at BC will? In many respects her play at BC is what put her on their radar in such a big way to begin with. There is no reason to think that staying that course won't allow her to still achieve whatever her personal goals are. Going to that event however, did carry a risk of injury and getting injured that close to the beginning of camp could conceivably derail an entire season. It most certainly isn't as clear cut a choice as you seem to think.
MM as compared to Kevin Durant? Bwaaaah! He only makes 20+million a year and is one of the top players in the world.
You are funny!

It is not like that team is a stepping stone to the full national team by any stretch of the imagination and that is the only thing that is really going to help MM in life at this point beyond just adding another accomplishment to her already impressive resume. If she does her job well at BC that will give her just as good of a shot at the full national team or playing professionally if that is what she wants.
Dip****.
