On the Bay State Conference thread, Bob hasn't gone too far out on a limb from the rank above by predicting BC as state champs this year. What would help is, what's the reasoning for the pick?

The post said, first Saturday of preseason. Since preseason starts 2d Thursday before Labor Day by miaa rule every year, it can be figured out from there.

That's just way too many to list, esp when many will never play each other. Granted that sometimes a smaller school has a really good team, Walpole in 2013 supports the view that, most of the time, even when a team can dominate at d2 or lower, we should not let such teams' awesome-looking records lead us to think they're better than many d1s. Acoordingly, comments below

BC high

BC high is a threat to win the south this year. They play Weymouth in a pre-season jamboree. Good test to see how good BC is and how down Weymouth is this year.

Your rankings suck. Needham 1 why? Wellesley 2- nope, Medway 6- not this year with many losses but will win tvl, OA was not great last year just good but could win there side again, braintree- lol, hingham is always overrated, pembroke, seriously?holliston will stink this year, vineyard is strong and dangerous as is GNB and SL is probably to low....

Yeah, check the Bay State Conference thread. Some think Needham has more returning than others, so favor them. Others think Needham's losses at the back and struggles to score will set them back. No one seems to think Wellesley will have the quality it had last year. Walpole also may be worse, not better, so how can they be 5 when they were 8th in their league? Braintree could hold, so a 10 ranking seems OK. Natick and Weymouth aren't on the list, but should be.
Move NB to the top, drop 6-8 below the BSC teams, and the list will look respectable.

Medway plays BC High at BC High on 9/15. It should answer the question of whether Medway can play with the big boys or not.
