State Cup games at Ernie Wever Youth Park #13

Who else played there Sunday? An absolute disgrace of a second round state cup venue. The simplest way to put it is to call it a Cracker Jack box sized dust bowl of a soccer field.

State cup with no concession. Had to wait for the game as it was delayed. Terrible. One field only.

Did anyone from FYSA take a look at this venue? No one and especially older teams should have been sent here to play. I'm usually a defender of FYSA but this field wasn't suitable for travel soccer at any level.

        U15 & u16 playing on a u10 size field with the smaller 6x16 goals. What a joke.

We played on field 13 at 8am. Tiny field for the U13's. Looked like older boys after us. Really a disgraceful venue for state cup games.

You all sound like a bunch of prima donnas. It's people like you that make soccer a sport of pussies and wimps. If any of you have boys that play, shame on you. You are feeding the theory about puss boys play soccer. Geez - cut it out.

First Hernando YSC has fields that are superior to these and they aren't in the middle of the woods

You're a jackass. Field was crap and hope nobody got hurt. Play 8v8 on the field but not 11v11. But whatever you do make it a soccer field and not a cow pasture. The ball hit some cow patties every now and then.

Dude, this is not simple whining, it's about soccer. We train on good fields that are 65 wide and 115 long. Good attacking soccer, which is what most state cup teams should be playing, utilizes the whole field to force the other team to defend the entire space. We also work to keep the ball on the ground primarily... another trait of good soccer teams. When the field is small(50 / 100), and choppy it allows a lesser team to be in a game they otherwise wouldn't. No different than how bad weather can impact a game. Major difference though... someone chose this awful field.

                      Now the exaggerations...

No, the ball bounced up and caught me right in the balls. Still hurts.

That is as succinctly as I've ever seen someone make the point that he/she knows nothing about sports. Bravo!

Maybe don't squat when you pee. The extra height may soften the blow next time.
